"My most recent paintings have been of seascapes, but I always return to figures. 

The sea often reflects my emotions and can bring forth hidden feelings. Figures do the same thing.

I find seascapes soothing to paint. Often the brush strokes become hidden figures.I like to think my paintings have an element of mystery and invite discovery. Isn’t that the way with a good friend? 

I see myself in my paintings because they inform me of myself on many levels - becoming more than two-dimensional paintings.  The paintings invite me in, speaking to me time and again.

The sea vista is vast, as are the infinite expressions of the human figure, expressing all I can’t express in words."
